Today is the Victory parade for our Olympians who did so well in Rio, and here at Diligence we really would like to congratulate all our athletes who performed so well in both the regular Olympics and the Paralympics. These are a very special breed – when faced with a challenge they rose to it instead of backing down and finding something easier to do.
Some people can’t deal with adversity; when faced with a problem they give up and walk away. But we here at Diligence like challenges – they give us a chance to shine, and to grow as people. Life is much better when you solve a problem; you have a sense of real achievement and pride in yourself. Our MD Nicola Coppen knows all about this – she has worked hard to build our business and recently all her work paid off when she made the shortlist of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2016, winners to be announced in November. Sometimes we need help to overcome the problem – who wasn’t inspired and thrilled to see Alistair Brownlee help his brother when he collapsed yards from the finish line in the World Triathlon Series final? Doesn’t matter how much help we need to reach our goals as long as we do!
